Why is it that, when a Christian's faith is questioned, the first reaction is to become defensive? What ever happened to critical thinking? Shouldn't we be more mature than this?

Spending time focusing one part of a statement that isn't exactly factual to ignore the truth and vileness of the other part isn't Christ-minded. You're more concerned with being right than anything else.
