They are 3% because Canada's "ultra-smart" leader made a deal with a Chinese pharmaceutical company to acquire the vaccine. The company then decided they didn't feel like honouring their end of the agreement as Chinese companies often do (For example: They often under-bid on foreign construction projects but when it turns out they can't do them at that price or at the expected quality, they bail).

The reason it's even 3% is because prime minister Turdster is so progressive that he is not above diverting vaccine supplies destined to the developing world to cover his mistakes.

For this specific virus, it's hard to make a good vaccine and there is significant risk that the vaccine might actually do more harm than good. And because the virus itself is not that deadly, it turns out that his blunder was a good thing in disguise, in the short term at least. However, if this virus was actually very deadly and it lent itself well to having a vaccine created, Canada would have been screwed. It's only by sheer luck that this turned out not to be a disaster.

However, on the down side, most of the provinces in Canada are locking themselves down for no rational reason (even their fake numbers aren't enough to justify it). So Canada is being taken over by the government. The health authorities are also lying through their teeth. They are marking any death as COVID just to inflate the numbers. I hear families say their loved one did not die of COVID (and I would tend to trust them over the political health authorities) but the health authorities marked it as COVID anyways. This is something I would previously only hear on the internet coming out of places such as Texas (but happened everywhere in the US). I hear it on the ground in Canada now.

Canada’s weird here. Even though people go along with wearing masks indoors and abiding the fake-ass mandates and idling around as government forces them to stop working, most people know it’s all a load of crap and will not step over the line to pure obedience. Random people here would never tell you to wear a mask, and it’s strange to see someone wearing a mask outside. On youtube, the news channels get the same dislike ratios as Biden videos do and most of the time the comments are disabled because nobody is buying it anymore. I know the meme is that Canada is dead and gone, but people here are quietly rebellious and obstinate despite what the news says. And nobody wants or approves of Trudeau/Castro
