Interesting. Just the other day it crossed my mind the movie Speed was a good analogy for the current situation. The DS is desperately trying to keep their bus above 50, but they’re running out of gas. When you think about it that 50 in Speed is a good metaphor for control of the Senate.

If something happens that causes the Dems to fall below 50 Senators things start to rapidly fall apart for the DS. That includes DS Rino’s currently and happily hiding behind the concept they have no control. If the R’s swing into the majority they’re trapped and have to fight the DS agenda tooth and nail.
