tabs are the things that you throw in the filter basket as a touch up right?

you should never put a tab into a skimmer basket. all of the highly chlorinated water is going straight into your equipment which prematurely ruins the Orings and other parts. Just spend the 15 bucks at a Leslies and get a tab floater if you do not have a chlorinator
