Gee thanks God, for going to all the trouble to create me TO SUFFER. I'll pass, if that's the deal. Who needs it?
This makes him sound like a sick sadistic bastard, creating sentient beings just to ensure they suffer. One of my least favorite things about organized religion (not faith) is this image of God as an irascible, petty, petulant, jealous, enraged ogre, easily angered and impossible to fully please, because he...made us all sinners.
Yuck! No thanks. Pass.
I would feel the same about the "irascible, petty, petulant, jealous, enraged ogre, easily angered and impossible to fully please" God.
That is not how I see God, nor is it how my (organized) faith sees God. Imagine a father who's trying to make us strong so that we can reach our full potential. Maybe He seems like a drill sergeant sometimes, but the helicopter parent who saves their children from everything is NOT doing them any favors - and their children will wilt when they encounter any real challenge. I've seen and met these kinds of people - they are old infants. They are adult parasites. God is not in the business of creating parasites.
God is not "all" powerful - there are some things He cannot do. He will not remove agency, nor will He remove natural consequences. This is our 'grow up to leave the next' experience. 99% of 'happiness' or 'joy' is a choice.
Don't believe anything I say. Do your own exploration. Just sharing my perspective. I wish you the best fren.
First time I've ever seen or heard anyone utter this statement. And I'm six decades on this rock. Thinking outside the box—I like it!
But I thought it was postulated as part of one's acceptance of the deity's existence that an entity capable of creating an infinite number of universes from literally nothing...didn't have a list of things he CAN'T do. Almost seems oxymoronic if you think about it; maybe that's part of the design.
But I knew all about the long list of stuff he WON'T do.

Interesting thoughts. There are definitely a lot of paradoxes in Christ’s teachings, fir example. They don’t make sense on the surface.
I appreciate you being open to discuss. Another thing we believe is that God organized matter, rather than create it (like building a house, or anything), out of chaos. Also, there are types of matter that are undetectable by us with our physical bodies.
I think of God like the ultimate scientist. He is all knowing. He understands and can manipulate the metaphysical planes that we cannot sense. But He will always respect free choice and natural consequences (thus, there are things He cannot do or change). “Miracles” are the manipulation of the dimensions/planes we cannot sense. Some people achieve greater ability to sense or even interact with that plane than others. I have experienced a few “miracles”, only simple ones though (insight, impression, revelation, pure knowledge, whatever word you want to use) that I couldn’t explain. They usually came after mental and spiritual exertion. I’ve seen and heard first hand accounts of others who experience more remarkable “miracles”.
There are plenty of theories out there about meta-physical planes, from people way smarter than me. Alan Watts is one. Whether any of them are correct, I have no idea. And everyone seems to have a different vocabulary to describe it - but they’re getting at similar ideas. What I do know for sure is that there are things that exist that we cannot sense or see physically - it only works spiritually. One must work their spiritual self to benefit from it.
