Mission complete! I live maybe 15 minutes from Portland, OR. Almost 1 hour in Safeway without a mask tonight. Not one word from anyone or any weird looks except from the shopping cart kid who thought he'd flex on me by asking, "do you have a mask?" I said, "nope!" and kept on. Saw 2 other dudes with no masks and they smiled when they saw me and from down the aisle shouted, “how’s it going, dude?!” I replied, “all good and you?” They said, “awesome!” and that was that but they were just as stoked to see me without a mask as I was to see them without theirs.
STOP WEARING THE MASKS! I’m typically a push over but I had a shit day and needed to book a win to close it out, so I made my win happen. If I can stop with the mask nonsense, you can too!
I've been withholding dollars simply because I don't have much to spare-I went on a trip to Ft. Collins August 24th last year to pick up a very timely powerball win, on my return, I filled up my gas tank-March 3rd 2021 I filled up again:) I drive to the bank a couple times a quarter so, no where else that I used to do business with for 15 to 20 years has gotten a dime since July last year..
We can only do so much in this fight but one thing we certainly can do is to keep our money and be picky where we spend it. You may be only one person but if millions of us change our spending habits then these big companies like Walmart can finally feel some pain.
If any company deserved to be put out of business, it would be Walmart. Walmart is notorious for moving to small cities and putting small businesses under. In big cities Walmart doesn't dominate, not even close because of all the competition but Walmart has done so much damage to small cities.
Many small cities have empty shopping centers because it's so hard for a business to directly compete against Walmart. We probably can't put Walmart under but we can certainly work towards leveling the playing field over the years by supporting smaller businesses more.
