Not me! I always embraced different opinions & always tried to accept different sorts of people & their lifestyles all my life. I also understood the need to possibly change society to accommodate this. I always assumed that's what liberal meant. When it got to the question of gay marriage, I thought that was going a little too far. In fact, I clearly remember joking about how absurd it was with an older friend who was a solid liberal all his life. A few years later still the same crowd is pushing totally absurd issues like that a man can now declare himself a woman to the point where he can sue for not being allowed to use the woman's room! This has nothing to do with accepting different lifestyles, this is the destroying the fabric of society!
As far as presidents, I knew the Bush's were just pure evil. The grandfather tried to overthrow this country, the father had a hand the JFK assassination & etc. I didn't particularly like Clinton but I figured, at least he's not Bush. When all his close associates started dropping dead left & right, I was starting to scratch my head. Back then, people even in liberal circles knew that Hilary's father was a mob boss...... They played the Obama card well. I thought he was a different animal at first. I was really deceived. As his time went on I was more & more upset with all wars he was waging & it seemed like he was on the side of the wahhabists! I wasn't paying attention to the 2016 Republican primaries, I assumed Bush would just get it & you know what I think of them. The 1st moment I got it that Trump was ahead, my first thought was, "well if he beat Bush he can't be all bad" That was literally my first thought. Then when it was him or Clinton's mob boss the choice was obvious. Meanwhile, the liberal positions of social issues started going insane.
Yeah, I lost friends on FB. I never expected that sort of close mindedness. Today there is no free thought on the liberal side. One has to swallow everything on their platform or be thrown out of the clique. I'm just waiting for it to implode & maybe get some friends back. We'll see.....
Well said!
