(sorry for this cryptic post)
...that the tactics being used with cancel culture and bullying is very similar to a certain "religious" organization's tactics? I don't want to mention, outright, which one so it can't be searched.
A particular comedic actress (LR), who was a member of that organization but fled, did a multi-part docu-series several years ago exposing them ("...The Aftermath"). I started re-watching it yesterday and was blown away by the similarities. That cult/organization has ruined people's lives (canceled them), separated families and friends (people are not allowed contact with others if all are not in the cult), and somehow (HA) they have been able to get LE on their side (courts).
The organization is relatively new, created in the 1950s, by a MAN and, in my opinion (as well as others), it is nothing more than a cult, due to the mere fact that you can not question it, nor can you associate with anyone that is not in it. Oh, and you can't just LEAVE. The name of the cult is one word, ending in "LOGY."
I'm just wondering if anyone else is familiar with the similarities. I was shocked because although I watched the docu-series before, it had been a while. So with everything going on now, it really blew me away. The similarities are uncanny. Almost as if the Ds have been infiltrated, or vice versa.
Thoughts?
I was born and raised Mormon. Was never interested in other religions. When I was young the church did not allow black people. That was before desegregation. No problem. I did not know any black people and had never had contact with any except from a distance. As time went on the church evolved and allowed blacks to join but they could not join the Priesthood. I didn't like it personally but by that time I rarely went to church although I was still a believer. Then the church leaders decided all the rainbow people were welcome and finally black men could hold the Priesthood. That did it for me. I was taught that the church doctrine came from GOD not man. Now I'm supposed to believe GOD has become politically correct and welcomes all these previous aversions? I don't think so. I am not racist, I have many non white friends but have cut all ties to my life long church. I very much believe in GOD, just not organized religion. They are all corrupted by man.
