They never will. They laugh and cry conspiracy when we point out the inevitable end to totalitarianism creeping in. They mock us when totalitarian get elected promising to "fix" imaginary problems they created. And they forget and support the totalitarian action when it happens because they are told its necessary and we are evil for resisting.
