While you're correct I don't think this is the case with this one. This article mentions it was during last summer which was when they were using 40 cycles of the PCR test. From what I've seen this is why there's a lot of false positives since things such as random fruits and animals have enough similarities that will bring back a positive result from the test. It rigged to begin with which is why anyone who willingly took the test was almost certain to come back with a positive.
