Ah. Thanks for the pointer. I looked it up and you might be right on this that the attorney client privilege does not apply when associated with official government functions (which is this case). It only applies for personal matters outside the government body and the fact that they are seeking legal advice as part of a government function means they waive their rights. That means if subpoenad or requested in court, they might be required to disclose what they talked about
