Sometimes I struggle to ask our Father for stuff. My problem is God is not a vending machine. Well, I’ve been taking and asking Him for an awful lot this last year and boy has He been answering me. This week while stuck inside I started looking for some noise to play in the background while I worked. While flipping through shows I ran across three, count them, THREE different versions of the story of Christ in the Garden of Gesthsemane. His struggles in the temple and after in the garden mirror what we are doing right now. We have been angry, we’ve whined about our fate and demanded that Q, Trump, the army save us. Christ responds to His trials much the same way. He turns over tables and prayed to our Father to take away His burden. The difference is he prays for Gods will be done. He educates those he was leaving. He told them this had to be and he stopped Simon and healed the Roman soldiers ear. Sound familiar. I may still be angry. I still may whine but I’m not missing the message our Father sent me. Gods will be done!

I make a concerted effort to thank God for all the great things in my life everyday, and especially the small, simple things. This is many times per day. That way I feel a lot better about it when I have to ask for something big. I give him the glory, and he graces me with what I need. And yeah saving our country is probably the biggest thing I have asked for. Michigan here also and I am tired of the wind and rain...
Amen! Our focus has to be on looking for the good things God gives us. Sometimes it’s easy to get lost in the minutia of pain that the government is inflicting. But if we slow down we can see God too. Some of the red states have no idea what Michigan has been through. When I pray I ask for strength, protection over my family and peace for my country. The song of the birds as I work in my yard/garden assures me that all of this is temporary. That Gods world will continue despite mans attempt to take His power for his/herself. We will make it through. Evil never wins! Hang in there friend. Michigan is a jewel in Gods crown. He will give us a beautiful state of peace. We just have to look for it. Blessings
