[they] created Mother's Day as a De Beer's ad campaign to sell shit loads of diamonds with the money working women were making. So, [they] can do whatever the Hell [they] want with the "holiday." It's just another form of bottom to top wealth redistribution. Diamonds are less rare than people think, too. That's why the De Beer family created this farce. They paid a lot of money for the land they own, originally thinking diamonds are a rare occurrence. Once [they] found out just how common diamonds really are, [they] had to recoup all that money, leat [they] bankrupt themselves. Every major Cabal player invested heavily in these mining operations. [they] were going to lose [their] collective asses if [they] didn't come up with a witty and catchy phrase and a new party plan. Hence, "Diamonds are a girl's best friend," as well as a whole "holiday" to promote sales for.
And WE ALL bought it, hook line and sinker. It took years for this to occur, though, b cause the women of that time were waaaaay more educated on this than most are today, and being hard working women, were even less likely to spend frivolously than their husbands, boyfriends, and sons. Especially the single mothers after World War 1 and World War 2.
Don't believe me? Look into the De Beers family, the origin of Mother's Day and the diamond marketing campaigns of the late 1800's and early 1900's.
Diamonds are about as common as quartz. And utterly useless except for cutting the harder materials we mine from the earth. Diamonds are the most commonly occuring mineral of ALL the "precious" gems we mine.
As a mother, I have no problem saying I'm OK without mother's day. I see it as a made up holiday by the greeting card companies. I'm blessed with children, now adults, who show me daily in their words and actions that they are grateful for my efforts to be the best mother to them that I possibly could. That's really all that matters.
Same here. It's the only one I remember. Always been bad with dates.
Memorial Day and July 4th are my favorites as well.
I long for a time when we can name that elephant in the room.
They = Satan
I noticed her upside cross necklace as well!
