Many yrs ago I was at a family get together on my husband’s side. A liberal loony relative kept saying over and over “there are just too many people on the earth. Too many people!” Finally I said let’s start shooting them! She stopped in shock. Someone else finally said “well, I guess that would work”. But she then shut her fat mouth.
If these idiots truly think this they can be the first to go. And now they are literally lining up to die. A firing squad though would be more humane than what these people will experience.
im going to use that now. Thats the fastest most quick dose of" shut you up" Ive ever heard of for this.
It just came out. His side of the family is as loony as you can get and I usually hold my tongue but hearing her repeat over and over how there are too many got me. I knew using logic and reason. That we have millions of acres of land to grow food and live on. That all starvation is caused by corrupt governments. But she wouldn’t have listened. So I just blurted it out. At least she stopped her yammering!?
I don't think technology is necessarily our salvation, as we can see right now it's equally as good to bring about a technocrat dystopia, but it can be used for good purpose, and besides our bombs and lead in gas, we have frequently used it well.
Now, here are a couple numbers considering our potential:
The first number is the amount of energy we are using. The second number is the amount of energy we could be using, if we build a Dyson sphere around the Sun.
That's how far along we are before we enter a true Malthusian state. Until we build a Dyson sphere, and we're consuming all of our Sun's energy, we can grow as long as we develop the technology faster than we reproduce.
(In case anyone questions, "yes but soil" – we can create matter out of energy. Granted, the exchange rate is very high.)

Yeah, they mean God's people need to go. That would be the Born again Christians.
That's interesting, you're like the 4th person recently who was raised Catholic that I heard say they didn't grow up reading the bible.
I was shocked at the lack of knowledge Catholic people have about the bible. I put my children into a Catholic school when I came home to the UK after years in South Africa, simply because they believed in God. I was shocked at how the teachers would be questioning me and hanging on my words when I spoke about the bible, none of them knew half the things God promises, especially nothing about the Holy Spirit and the insight He gives you to understand the bible. I would say that reading the bible without the Holy Spirit is like reading a book and having your own interpretation. But reading the bible with the Holy Spirit is like talking to the author and he shows you what he meant. Well thats been my experience. When I asked about them reading the bible they used to say they listened to the priest only. How shocking is that. While they are lovely people they barely know anything about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, besides the parables, even though they mention Jesus all the time. Sad really.
If you ask a Jew, we will certain say yes. Lol.
No, they were referred to as a "brood of vipers" and the "synagogue of Satan".
I'm always answering, "why not starting with yourself?"
You always get a non answer than
Could point out that ALL of the worlds population could stand on the island of Zanzibar... ?
The people of the world wouldn't even fill up the Grand Canyon. There's plenty of room.
