Schools have dress codes for a reason. Maybe it is not considered politics by the mother because it isn’t about Republicans an Democrats, but it does bear a message that could cause a disturbance. Perhaps the mother is looking to sue and obtain a quick buck, like many are today or maybe it was simply a “mistake.” But three children wearing the same shirt on the same day seems suspicious. What would the response be if white children wore shirts saying “White Lives Matter”? I thought blacks wanted to stop being treated differently, they wanted equal treatment. That shirt states they wanted to be treated differently. Calling for racial quotas states you wanted to be treated based on your skin color, not on your performance or abilities or accomplishments. Dumbing down math requirements tell Blacks they aren’t smart enough to study and succeed and excel. Black college students demanding all black only meetings or safe space rooms tell society they want to be separate, but still be considered equal, certainly a confusing and opposing stance. Why can’t we agree that all lives matter, everyone should be treated equally by the law, and everyone should gain entrance to a college based on performance in junior high and high school (grades aren’t everything considered, there is volunteerism, essays, etc.), and job applications and job offerings should be based on school records, past job recommendations and letters of recommendation. Let us unite instead of divide. Let us give each other a hand up. Your behavior in school, church, community and work says a lot about you. Parents need to instill that in their children..There is a time and a place to buck the system and not disrupt. Perhaps the mother could have asked in advance if the schools would consider a day where students could wear a shirt that makes a statement. The mother needs to teach her children that there are rules for a reason, instead she is teaching them a different message and they have lost 2 days of classroom learning.
