I'm still very hopeful. NCSWIC and all that. But I'm wondering if anyone here felt this same way LAST year at this time. By April of last year I was already disappointed that certain people I knew weren't seeing through the Covid thing. I figured the mask thing would be over by the warm weather last year. Now, I know there is far more to the masks than we are lead to believe.
Anyone else have memories of this time last year..... just saying "any day now" this will all go away?
Honestly here in Korea it was never that bad.... specially right after the outbreak, maybe 2 weeks later everything was open. There haven't been any lock downs at all. Most people wear masks, but probably 60% of people did anyway because of the fine dust that China spews into the air.
The thing that is worry to me is, it's only over the last 2-3 months when it seems like there are more restrictions... and less cases. Like myself, currently I came back from a visit to the states and I had 1 negative covid test to get on my flight and then another negative one when I landed and got police escorted to my city... and I still have to quarantine for 2 weeks at home.... which is the dumbest fucking thing I have ever had to deal with.
I mean I honestly don't mind the quarantine, but don't test me if those tests don't mean anything... got its such an insult to my intelligence.
