The pill is not degenerate although it has contributed to some of the degeneracy and promiscuity.

The pill is a good thing. Without it a lot of babies would born into situations that guarantee them a life without love, and many in poverty. The world doesn't need people that don't want children to have more of them. It also doesn't need people that do want them having them when they are not ready as in a committed relationship (marriage) or financially capable of taking care of them.
