Are you in North Alabama? I’m in South Alabama. Everyone was getting gas according to local news, then a station owner said that there is no need to go crazy because the fuel we get down here comes from barges.
Did they open up the Mississippi river again?
I'm not 100% but I don't think the gas barges for southern Alabama would need to use much of the Mississippi river. That was closed mid-country up near Memphis. I think southern Alabama gas could come from refineries around the gulf coast via barges.
Ahh that makes sense, thank you. I clearly hadn't considered the geography there?
I went out yesterday for errands, passing a dozen or more gas stations. Some had lines, others were deserted. Closer look at the deserted ones revealed bags over the pump handles. - Martin County, Florida.
I'm in Pennsylvania I suppose I should get it but I dont want to sit in line. 60 miles left according to the cars computer.
???
Maybe you should stop being "dumb".
Manufactured shortage or not, a shortage is a shortage. Don't let your hubris cloud your vision.
