It would seem that some people get to send a goodbye message when they get picked up by the White Hats. Hanks got one (actually he drew a hangman in his toast and posted that up but it got taken down), Carrey got one, Comey's last tweet certainly seems like a subtle goodbye, there are a few others I remember seeing as well.

It's probably the current day version of "I want my phone call." Plus, it probably makes the others wonder when they're next.
