Is anybody willing (and able) to explain the history of problems with Israel and Hamas?

I have never felt fully informed in all the stuff with Israel and the Palestinians, Hamas, Gaza, et al. So hard to know when you're getting the truth or the spin. I trust people here more than most, so IF you actually can give me some background on the issues, please do. It would be appreciated and I'm sure there are others here who would appreciate it as well. Thanks.

No, QuestGiver has it right. Isreal was attacked first so the aggressors and genociders are the Palestinians. I choose to believe my eyes and common sense over your misinformation.
