Is anybody willing (and able) to explain the history of problems with Israel and Hamas?

I have never felt fully informed in all the stuff with Israel and the Palestinians, Hamas, Gaza, et al. So hard to know when you're getting the truth or the spin. I trust people here more than most, so IF you actually can give me some background on the issues, please do. It would be appreciated and I'm sure there are others here who would appreciate it as well. Thanks.

I just watched a very good video on the present situation and he does give a little history with it. I was very impressed with the guy talking but I don't know who it is. Why Palestine and Israel are fighting
