This is what political state parties do! They twist the weak, entrenched arms of a few.
In Florida it was former Senator Bill Nelson rigging it for dems. The old ladies of Monroe County rigged it when party faithful tried to oust a drunk... driving state chair!
All for a ' personal call from Bill'.
Florida is glad he's gone.
But party chairs and state electeds reach out and make sure establishment remains.
One party chair election on the county level accepted ballots from new committee members who had not signed their oath or had their committee chair paperwork notorized. But they needed those votes.
It was challenged for not following the party bi-laws. They would not remove the fraudulent winner. Decided NEXT TIME they would enforce the rules! The state threatens the counties with no money for their races. But they never give you any anyway, unless you are an establishment candidate.
The whole idea that parties are representative of the people is BS. They are private entities that are experts in raiding the public coffers. And their bylaws are shamelessly designed to favor whoever runs the local machine.

This is not new.
See? Top down. Now Lin Wood knows.
