American Airlines screwed her royally yesterday! She’s 84 yrs old & doesn’t speak English (from PR), her first flight was delayed so she missed her connecting flight that would bring her here, and it was the last flight. Well they gave her a food voucher but all food places of course were closed. So she had to wait all night in airport, waiting for first flight out at 6am (which she would have gone to Texas before coming here, which would have to pass us before getting another flight to here), well of course that flight was full so they were going to put her on a 9am flight, nope sorry full. Finally got her on a 10am flight to Charlotte, NC. Once there, the guy who was taking her to next gate (she needs a wheelchair for long distances), said her next flight isn’t until 6:40pm. Meanwhile she hasn’t eaten in all that time, hoping she can grab something to eat while waiting for this next flight, praying that it doesn’t get delayed or canceled because it’s the last flight available today. Meanwhile there is an earlier flight leaving at 4:30pm or so that has seats, why didn’t they put her on that flight? My husband couldn’t sleep at all last night worrying about her & since like 4am has been talking to either her or an AA employee. This is unacceptable! The airlines don’t give a flying shit about people because you already paid them for your flight, they don’t care if you ever make it to your destination or not! They didn’t even offer her a hotel room (they said hotels were all booked up) or a voucher for her next trip.

That is total garbage... it is so terrible what people do to our elders... I hope all works out... I will say a prayer for your family...
