AIDS went far too quiet too quickly for me. When I think back to being a young child in the 80s, even now I distinctly remember all the 'gay pandemic' fear, always wear a condom etc etc. Draws parallels to C19 funnily enough. As autoimmune diseases are wont to do, it soon proved more fatal amongst the IV drug communities in the West, and poverty/already disease-riddled of the third world. Heck, I don't even think most people, gay people even, know it has commonly available 'cures' these days (or preventatives/life prolongers more accurately, but still) in the West.

And of course, similar to C19, Fauci allegedly threw himself into the thick of his 'hands on' research trolling gay bars and bathhouses, throwing the precautions imposed upon everyone else to the wind except when politically expedient to pretend he was complying. Funny that.
