seems pretty useless for this purpose then and is just a waste of money and resources then, nothing but intimidation

The hamas rockets also have no guidance systems, they’re just fired towards a general area and many times they just land in a field. The iron dome is able to calculate the trajectory and only shoot down those that are headed towards populated areas. It’s definitely more of a weapon of terror and intimidation than an actual strategic missile system.
