This has always been the plan. They are going to cause the price to swing wildly, make people lose a lot of money on it, and then come to the rescue with "their" CBDC/cryptocurrency, which they control and is safe from all us evil people.
Anyone remember Libra? Just hold on. You are being prepared for Libra 2.0, but this time managed by the deep state and on a global level. Those of you bashing Bitcoin are going to wish you had such an honest cryptocurrency as Bitcoin after these guys get done.
And BTW, this entirely speculation, but you are all aware that the public key cryptography functionality can be easily defeated by a sufficiently powerful quantum computer running Shor's algorithm? Correct? Oh...nobody ever told you that? They told you this tech was years away, that nobody would ever have an incentive to do this anyway, and that we would have plenty of time to restructure the algorithm before this became a concern, did they?
Well...what if a bad actor already has one of those quantum computers, and has spent the last couple of years cracking private keys for Bitcoin wallets? What if, at the same time Elon Musk and other decide to dump Bitcoin, they unleash those private keys to empty Bitcoin wallets from exchanges and individuals around the world, collapsing trust in the Bitcoin blockchain entirely?
But don't worry. Even if this is true, they'll come screaming in to save the day for you with their solution. They are your saviors.
