I'm a vet. I wasn't woke yet, but after the Sarin attacks on Allepo I anxiously waited on the slow US red line crossed answer we would give and when Obama said "we will arm the moderate freedom fighters of the region" I had never felt more betrayed by my own country than ever before in my life.

I felt sick to my stomach. Wanted to smash my TV. This was either just weeks before or after that same asshole gave back commanders for a prisoner swap and at that point I was absolutely done with Obama, our civilian/military elite and the Iraq war.

I knew right then and there that wars are fake and created by our own government. I watched ISIS tear through the Kurds and neighborhoods I used to patrol and met very real and very good people now getting slaughtered, raped and pillaged by this group my government created.

They claimed lands my best friends died in and stomped on what is boots on the ground worked out asses off to accomplish.

I am so fucking awake now and so are many if not all of us. If military brass does not act after AZ, it's time for NCO's to rise up.
