I wouldn’t look too far into this at all. Photos of people can be VERY boring so photographers often pose their subjects with the clichéd visual trope of hands over the mouth, eyes, ears. I highly doubt Denzel is sending a message to anyone with this photo. Not everything we see and hear has some ulterior motive behind it. Sometimes art (movies, music, photographs, paintings) are just that... art. Nothing more, nothing less.
