I've got 1 percent left on my phone, so at the last minute I'm saying hello, because I like y'all (even if I'm not a follower/convert).
But while I'm here, I'll take any flak you got -- I won't argue or go into lib disproving mode. I saw the leftist AMA the other day and left disappointed, so I just thought I'd take the temperature of the board a little, from my nonthreatening obvious interloper account.
(And if I don't respond, it's because my phone died and I'll be back later, charged.)
Frustrated, furious, anxious, excited, cool as a cucumber -- How are you?
Why do you trust and empower the State?
I trust the State to a degree, because I trust people to a degree.
John Boehner had a good line about Congress (paraphrased from memory): it's some of the absolute best, worst, smartest, and dumbest people you've ever met. Apply that to all government and it fits like a glove, and the cost of citizenship is figuring out which people are which.
The constitution has much better quotes about the State and how it should be limited to fuck all besides defending the country and upholding the document which grants them their authority.
Also half of congress is unelected since the inception counting machines.
The State you must support as a modern liberal is the antithesis to the constitutional State.
