Ask if you can bring your own swabs then. You can buy the long ones at the pharmacy. If I remember correctly it's something in the makeup of the swabs that was in question...

I had to have a test last week (nothing as serious as your situation) and they wanted a test. I flatly refused and said I would take my 5 star insurance elsewhere...after a supervisor got involved I got my test and the didn't get theirs...I know your in a different boat.

I will pray for your protection and that your surgery is an easy one....
