What if your infiltrating said secret society?
If it's a truly dangerous secret society, getting far enough in to meaningfully infiltrate it would probably involve you raping, trafficking, or murdering people first.
That's how they weed out the good guys.
To be honest, if you want to bring it down only way to do so is from inside. (As Commies know and have successfully done in America)
It may be unpleasant but for the long game and greater good, some brave agents might just have to do that to finally end these demons. The kids are gonna die anyway if they are in their grasp and at least if an undercover white hat is doing it they can make it quick and less painful.
I guess they take the oath with fingers crossed to negate it?
