Once you finish all 17 holes then the 69 is your final score for the day. 69 shots to get through 18 holes.

Edit; yes, it's a sign I hope. Mickleson was just needing to finish the final hole without fucking up and he did and he won.

Hoping it means, we are right where we need to be, but just need to finish the last hole.

4th and 5th place shot a 69 today. They’re finished for the day so it shows their final score for the day. The -2 is their score against par for the tournament. Mickelson and Koepka are through 17 (of 18) holes, so they don’t have a final score for the day yet.
