You are exactly right. I have always wanted the family I have. The outrageous pressure from other women ....the so called feminists... to be "successful" which is tied to $$....but not respecting those of us who have done the hard work of family manager. As my nest is emptying, I still have fulfilling volunteer opportunities. I also have the pleasure of taking care of elderly family members. It's a matter of perspective and priorities. We all have the opportunity to reexamine our lives and make a decision to be negative or be thankful. My contribution to our family is priceless. I know I don't regret my choices. Sometimes I can forget to be thankful and fall in to dwelling on the should've, could've would've. I would love to see a return in our society to the order of priority....Faith, Family, then Finances.
