It used to be that you could just work a part-time job while going to college, and pay all of your expenses at college while doing so. Now, you're lucky if that part-time job pays for your books, and it's been that way for at least 25 years. Meanwhile, information has never been cheaper to produce or purchase. You can easily get the equivalent of just about any degree doing research on your cellphone. Even with government subsidies--that's your tax dollars--college is more expensive than ever. And, somehow, most white collar jobs require that you have a little piece of paper to wave around. For many jobs, it's a legal requirement!
That is not a sustainable system, and needs to come to an end. It's ludicrous that in an age of virtually free information, paying for proof of knowledge costs more than ever. That's without even going into the fact that colleges are now almost universally Marxist indoctrination camps.
