Well at any rate, I think we would both agree that God is ultimately in control, and things are playing out according to his plan, witch we never seem to understand, particularly the timing.
God's battle with the devil is not unlike out battle against our enemy. By all appearances, Satan appears to be wining. Here on earth, Satan seem to be occupying all positions of power, but we know that power is an illusion, that the wins are actually purposely fulfilling God plan, that Satan's apparent victories are fulfilling Gods, just as the victories of our enemies are working for our victory.
I did have a funny thought the other day though. What if the rapture already happened, but no one disappeared? That's some thought huh? That we all have become so corrupted, that none of qualified to be called up.
I kind of got that though after listening to some bible story about Uzzah, the fellow who reached his had out to steady the arc, and was struck down by God. In other words this guy who had to best intention, disobeyed God's order, and was struck down. How many times have we disobeyed? Thank God he sent his son as a propitiation for our disobedience huh?
Great post. I didn’t mean to be flippant but truly at one time I would have agreed with you. Then I became a voracious reader and researcher. I began to question everything I once believed at face value. Only then did I see how much was really happening as stated by Q. (I will look for a list I saw posted here a while back.)
I agree with the article you posted to the extent that organized religion has been diluted from its original purpose. Just like we have been hearing music but not not listening to its meaning, the same can be said of today’s churches where prayers and hymns are read in a rote drone-like fashion. Today’s worshippers are mostly just sleep walking through their prayers and ceremonies. They are less connected to God and more connected to rituals, in my opinion.
I feel more connected to God through this movement with my private prayers and devotion, than I ever felt in an official “house of worship.”
