States are starting to take away the extra $300 in Covid stimulus AKA unemployment checks because of the poor jobs numbers and the artificial labor shortage.
That alone is causing outrage among commie unemployment grifters.
People aren't lolling around en masse, collecting stimulus checks because they "don't want to work". The fact you're cheerleading government taking money away from the people because your "enlightened opinion" aka, bias, confirms they're right - whilst in reality they're lining their and their own's pockets with the money they aren't "handing out" seems to be missed by your ilk.
Some people just want their normal lives back. Some people have suffered way more than others during this pandemic. Some people are tired, exhausted and unable to participate in political jousting anymore.
A lot of people can't get their businesses or jobs back, because they don't exist atm and/or they aren't "skilled" (because employers are just as capable of being assholes who will only employ people who have X amount of specific experience) to find other work - which a lot of it pays fucking peanuts.
Stimulus checks wouldn't be hitting the sides for most people. This false dichotomy pegging "normies=lazy" against "the ever so enlightened here =so virtue minded" is just getting to be stupid. It's right sided virtue signaling.
Never mind that fact that so many people here love to chastise "Mask/Jab Nazis" at venues, yet at the same time, chastise those who are out of work, is fucking hilarious. There are people who can't/don't want to work in industries that require the above. This blind "This = GOOD That = Bad" is completely devoid of critical thought and is exactly what the left does.
It's mind-numbingly similar.
I lost my job during the Obama era due to forced layoffs. I could have claimed unemployment benefits, but I ended up working 3 part time entry level jobs for about 60-80 hours a week.
In my "spare" time, I studied Windows/Linux/VMware, built a home lab, and eventually got into IT.
I have a problem with government policies that incentivize people to stay on unemployment over working, but I do not begrudge the people themselves. I think, if anything, it should be the working folks getting their $300 in taxes back instead, but that's just my way of looking at the world.
In many cases, the $300 would probably do more good in the pocket of the person who earned it in the first place.
