The trick is this: the deeper into sin you get, the less likely you are to want to repent due to shame, rationalization of the behavior, and the additional sins that result from the behavior when there is no repentance. Definition of sin: an act that separates you from God’s grace. Repentance always brings you back into God’s grace though thanks to the sacrifice of His only Son, Jesus Christ.

There is literally a demon one side and an angel on the other, and whichever one you listen to most gets louder and drowns the other one out. That’s why the deeper you get, the harder it is to break free.
