This is kind of what's already happening with coverage of Trump. On the one hand the media wants to censor/deplatform him but on the other are aware that he's still communicating with us. So they're forced into this conundrum where they have to decide whether it would be better to pretend he doesn't exist anymore or start front-running the narrative by trying to "debunk" what he's saying. The problem with that obviously is the fact that he's being proven correct over and over again and so they risk losing even more credibility.

It's quite the pickle they've placed themselves in.
