I've never been an assertive or forward person, but I may have to put my foot down with something that has come up. I invited a dear friend (ex-neighbor) to visit us at our new home (been here two years already, but never had a chance to have her over before). She is 70+ and said she feels safe in small crowds and is fully vaccinated.
Man. I hate to disinvite her, but if protein shedding is a real thing, I'd rather not have her visit and I will tell her as much.
Is it something to really be concerned about?
I'm not sure if I buy into the protein shedding thing, but if it is real, there's not much you can do about. We've already been around lots of vaccinated people, and there's no way to keep away from them unless you act just like the covid paranoid people. And we shouldn't go down that road. Just my thoughts.
