I was shopping for tile yesterday when approached by a pudgy red-faced dough boy Floor & Decor employee. He harassed me for not wearing a mask and became all panicky and absolutely adamant that I needed to cover my face. He tried to give me a mask, I refused. Next he insisted to see a note from my doctor stating my medical reason for not wearing a mask. I told him I didn't have a note but that it was my understanding that vaccinated (I identify as immune) individuals didn't have to wear a mask. Even though that is precisely Washington state policy, he still kicked me out of the store ?
FUCK Floor & Decor. I'm gonna buy my tile elsewhere and will never do business there again. Ever.
Thank you. Yes I plan to do exactly this. I've been fuming all day and finally decided that I need to speak my mind and give them hell. They may not give a damn nor change their policy but at least I'll have stood up for what's right.
If their 'policy' actually goes against your state protocols, then it extra-double doesn't make sense and they are only hurting themselves. But, you know what they say, darwinism in action. Maybe if they don't change it will be for the best and drive them out of business and pudgepot out of a job.
I called and talked with the store manager. It is most definitely NOT their store policy. He apologized profusely and said will reprimand little pudgy mask nazi.
I feel much better and I do plan to go back to the store and dish out my own brand of retribution. Pudegpot is gonna get a history lesson!
Awesome!! Thanks for the update. I had a feeling pudgy might have gone rogue. If you do dish out some retribution, you'll have to post about it. I'm sure lots of people would love to hear that story. And I'm glad you feel good about it. See? One phone call and you were vindicated. Very well worth the few minutes it took and that store manager is probably thankful because s/he is now aware that at least one employee is driving out customers. After so many people lost jobs over the last year, how many can afford to get new flooring? Even in good times, every customer counts. But in iffy times, every one reeeallly counts. Would love to hear what s/he says to pudgy. Thanks again, fren!
