Decades ago, I asked a much older friend, whose family had escaped from Europe in the late 1930s right before the shit hit the fan, why so many people hadn’t run for their lives. She said that right up until they left, there were friends and neighbors saying it wasn’t ever going to be as bad as her family was making it out to be. They just didn’t believe it. Couldn’t be convinced. They were all killed.
I went over to /r/covidvaccinated, and saw an awful lot of disconnect. I have all these horrendous symptoms, and I’m about to go get the second jab! Yay! Everyone should! Their fingers and toes are numb, have throbbing headaches, they feel like they’re dying, but still pro-vax. Can’t put it together.
Ever see the Eddie Murphy bit where the ghost is saying “GET OUT” and some people ignore it, and others peel out of there on two wheels?
The bottom line is that there is a flaw in humanity where reality stares people square in the face, and God help them, they just can’t see it. Count your blessings that you’re not among them.
