What are all those military planes doing in Saoudi Arabia ?

We have a few air bases there and Kuwait. This is a common occurance. We also have at least one aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf at all times, flying sorties about 20 hrs a day. Plus, we have another airbase in Manama, Bahrain, at the airport. So, we usually have a bunch airborne at all times.

What's unusual about this is that they're squawking.
