I think just the opportunity to be in the US is reparations enough. If your life is just so bad here that you need compensation for the past, then to get the reparations you have to give up your US citizenship and move back to the country your ancestors were taken from. You think if you went to Liberia and offer the residents the deal that they can sell one of their past ancestors into slavery so they could be a US citizen today, that most wouldn’t jump on that offer?
