You can do all things? All means all, right? Can you fly? Jump over a building? Cure a kid's terminal cancer?
Or, does "all" have another meaning I'm unaware of?
You really come across as a teenager. Just saying’.
That's some irony.
Do you understand what hyperbole is?
Here, I'll help:
Okay, so the bible says things that aren't true to evoke good feels.
Sounds a bit like manipulation to me.
Sigh...here we go again.
We ALL (hear the hyperbole?) know you hate the Bible - and anything relating to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - above ALL (there it is again) else.
It is clear you have an enormous lack of understanding when it comes to literary structure and styles in ancient literature. Maybe it's not a lack of understanding, but more of a general vitriolic reaction to anything that has to do with the Bible, so you just HAVE to say something derogatory or condescending. Whatever.
For future reference, since this board is mainly made up of Theists, why don't you just sit on your hands when someone references the Bible or quotes it. Just bite your tongue and go click on another thread to get your mind off of it.
We just don't want to have to keep dealing with your hatred for all things Biblical.
It's getting old. New Atheism is getting old.
Sorry you feel that way. Just asking questions because I don't understand faith in something that doesn't appear to be accurate. I see that verse mentioned a lot... Nobody seems to have an answer for me with the context of the word, "all."
Asking questions shouldn't bend people so out of shape to the point they attack me for asking them... Truth should welcome scrutiny, not avoid and ridicule it.
