Totally agree, rooftoptendie! It’s a major transition for one accustomed to an urban city to move to Main Street. There is also the car situation. Many urbanites do not have a car. Family, friends, job, and money also factor into a major move like that. Easier said than done. I say that nyc9308 should hold the line until NYC swings back to its glory. Well, at least until August.
Move to Austin, Texas.
The music, arts and restaurants in downtown Austin are too rate, very innovative. Some of the biggest corporations in the U.S. have moved their headquarters to Austin. Cost of living is 1/2 what you pay in NYC.
You can live very well in Austin without a car. I would recommend a bicycle or scooter though.

Louis Rossmann is currently touring Florida in search of a place to move his Mac repair business. We told him to do it over a year ago before he signed his very expensive new lease in NYC. Now it's gonna cost him more.
