Absolutely. Milk plus baby.
Interestingly, A Clockwork Orange was released the same year as Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, which featured adrenochrome as well.
Clockwork Orange movie and Fear and Loathing book, yes. 1971.
Tho it just dawned on me that the Fear and Loathing movie, and Kubrick's last project, Eyes Wide Shut were in theatres less than a year apart.
Kubrick was either trying to tell us something, or was simply rubbing it in our faces in a grand fashion throughout his entire career.
It gets a mention in the book version of a clockwork orange too, in the 60s. It's called Dremcrom (like the picture) Anthony Burgess was a massive Aldous Huxley fan who was a huge fan of mescaline. He wrote in the doors of perception that he imagined adrenochrome might give him a similar buzz, being byproducts of adrenaline.
Same reason Thomson put it in fear and loathing but he said he made up the name himself and was referencing DMT.
Adrenochrome, Moloch & what I'm guessing is Synthetic Mescaline...nothing to see here folks...they were misspelled...stop jumping to conclusions hahaha
Kubrick exposed the Satanic side of Hollywood in Eyes Wide Shut. Lot of sex and demonic rituals. I would not suggest watching it since it has so much porn but also shows kids being used as sex slaves. Name of the movie says it all-----people see it all and DON'T see a thing!
I own most of Kubrick’s movies and once you watch them knowing what we know now, you’ll never see them as you once did before. One of my father’s favorite movies was Dr. Strangelove and we used to watch it a lot together. That’s probably my favorite as well.

The books you mean?

Ah ok just making sure lol. And yes I agree. Either warning or arrogantly exalting.
He died before it was ever released. Rubbing it in our faces maybe, but he obviously crossed a line that certain people didn’t want crossed.
Nah… Kubrick was based

Interesting. I've had The Doors of Perception for about 15 years but have never read it.. ?
Bit of a slog ngl. Unless you're into philosophy and scientific journals. I sort of am that nerdy so I made it through.

Moloko is milk
