I worked in a large university dept of medicine. Every year each resident had to put out a human use protocol, conduct all the studies and publish the results. All these had to be submitted to NIH for approval (because it is human use experimentation). ALL CORRESPONDENCE, FINDINGS, CONTRAINDICATIONS, REGULAR UPDATES (WEEKLY OR MONTHLY) MUST BE REPORTED TO THE NIH FOR THE APPROVAL TO CONTINUE. Dont tell me (even protocols without funding) that the NIH doesnt know whats going on in any and all studies.

What use is research unless it is thoroughly written about and analyzed at each step... There are likely millions of documents that pertain to this.
