Yeah, just like after the civil war ended, and there was no backlash against either side. ?

Don't be fearful, but do be smart. Assuming all goes "to plan" there will be many nations, companies, organizations, and people looking to exact revenge, especially those who squeezed out of justice.

I've thought about this also. I think the humane thing would be to give them the bay area. Temparate climate all year. They would have to pay a tribute of course.
