Hemp is a miracle plant and it's a shame it's demonized along with Cannabis.
Hemp has thousands of different uses and it's a very strong plant. So strong in fact, that Henry Ford once made a car out of hemp.
Quote "Henry Ford's first cars ran entirely on hemp ethanol. The body was also constructed from hemp plastic, which was 10 times stronger than steel. Hemp fiber is one of the strongest natural fibers known to man, it can hold almost twice the weight of steel before it cracks and breaks. Hemp can bend and mend almost 6 times better than steel"
"Industrial hemp is an incredibly useful plant, one said to have literally tens of thousands of applications. Industrial hemp is a very hardy plant, able to be be grown in areas where other crops will fail. It can withstand periods of drought, heat and frost and also be cultivated without pesticides or other chemicals in many instances – however, it can be subject to attack by insect pests. It doesn’t have huge water requirements or a great need for ongoing care. The plant grows quite quickly, achieving heights of 4 metres in four months.
The plant is easy to work with and can be readily transformed into an amazing array of products and used in a multitudes of applications, including:
stock fodder, animal bedding, garden mulch, ropes and cordage, fibreboard, insulation, plastics, a form of concrete (hempcrete), clothing and textiles, paper, restoring fields depleted of nutrients, cleaning up toxins in contaminated soils, food for human consumption, cooking oil, biofuel, medicines – particularly cannabidiol, cosmetics and skin care, water filters"
Was about to add this as well. It really is one of the most useful plants on the planet.
I would love to talk to you about where you sell your crop (hemp)
WWI farmers were forced to use ~30% of their farm land to grow hemp for the war effort. I think it was 30% or somewhere around there.
I still have a problem with smoking pot. It takes away peoples drive, makes them complacent. I am good with medicinal weed but you should have to be 30 to smoke. It ruins kids in their prime years.
I know quite a few very successful people who use weed. The stereotype of pot smokers just isn't true in many cases.
Plus, prohibition doesn't work, and worse, it creates a black market leading to violent crime.
So do I. People in their 30's and 40' who are extremely productive and use weed to relax, unwind, whatever. I don't have an issue with that at all. I have a problem with 15 year olds smoking. Once people know who they are and what they want it can actually help. But before that it is a hindrance.
Depends on the individual. A friend got a First at university on cannabis. Addiction is down to both nurture and nature.
