Is it worse than allowing a central bank to continue to syphon wealth from your country and its citizens?
I'm not fully on board the crypto train (though I do hedge some ETH, because it has been a pretty good long-term investment so far), but it still seems like a lesser evil than a privately-controlled fiat currency.
